All Hallows’ Tarot Spread

I feel the air has changed. The days are getting darker. The nights are longer. The need to wrap myself up and retreat from society is getting stronger every minute. Unmistakably, All Hallows’ Eve is here. I can feel the veil between worlds thinning. I am more sensitive, the messages come through easily.

This time of year is know for the Halloween celebration. Capitalism has taken over and all we see are the parties and the costumes. Not only children but adults all over the world are now taking part in this festivity.

Halloween is first of all a time to remember and connect with the Deads, our Ancestors. The ones that were before us and that have past, gone on the other side of the veil.

Different traditions have different names. You might be familiar with The day of the Dead, All Hallows’ Eve or even All Saints Day. No matter the tradition or religion, it is a time to connect with the past ones. We can feel them. Their presence is strong.

During this period you might sense a different type of energy. You might be more aware. Some of us are actually not in a party mood but in need to quiet down. A need to meditate or to stop everything to make place for these messages we might receive during this time.

If you are an experienced medium, you might be able to receive messages easily. If you are not one of these people, you might want to use a divinatory tool. Why not pick up your tarot deck and try this spread below I have just created.

For this one, I chose my oldest deck, the first one I ever purchased with my pocket money as a teenager. The Ancient Tarot de Marseille by Gimaud. I purchased this deck in the early 90s and as this is a spread about connecting with our ancestors, I thought it would be fitting to use my oldest deck from the region I actually am from, Marseille.

The spread:

1. How can I connect with my ancestors?

2. Who am I connecting with?

3. What advice or message are my ancestors giving me?

4. What are they warning me about?

5. What is to come?

6. Check the shadow card at the bottom of the deck to see what is underlying the reading. Maybe what it is all about. In my case below, the ace of coin.

Light and candle, take a few deep breaths and see where this is taking you.

The key here is to connect and not overthink.

The first card of my reading below, talks about mental detachment. Having too many thoughts will not help me here.

So here I go, I detach from the ego, I read Tarot …
